This shrine, built in 1261 by Kouchyo the First,
is also called Terao Hachimanguu. "Imoni no Shinji,"
meaning an event dedicated to the shrine's God, is held
annually in November. The event is famous for its
historically rich folklore that tells about the time of
the shrine's establishment.
