Accompanied by drums, flutes, and bells, the Iwato Kaguramai,
a ceremonial dance, is dedicated to a Shinto God. Held annually on December 5 at night, The dance is notable for the simplicity of the costumes and the number of instruments and assorted paraphernalia used.
The dance is specified as an Intangible Folklore Cultural Treasure by the Yamaguchi prefecture.
